The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Jan. 19.
Finn Morrison, Goaltender, Coastal Tsunami – Picking up the slack since Nick Peters departed the Tsunami crease, Morrison was busy and effective in his most recent action and helped his team to a split at home. The New Westminster product stopped all but one shot, making 43 saves in a 2-1 win over North Van where he was 1st Star and came back the next game for another 1st Star, turning away 39 of 41 shots in a 3-1 loss to Delta.
Zack Lagrange, Forward, Ridge Meadows Flames – Surging to the finish line, Lagrange has all but wrapped up the scoring title and added seven point points to his ledger in the two games that counted last week. He was a facilitator for the most part, setting up four goals in the Flames’ 11-0 win over Surrey where he was 2nd Star and notched a goal plus three helpers to take 1st Star in a 9-1 road win at Mission City.
Bailey Ewonus, Forward, Port Coquitlam Trailblazers – Ewonus kept the good times rolling in his two games last week, totaling seven points as Poco scored a couple of impressive wins. The Coquitlam native had a goal and three assists in a 9-3 home win over Mission City and followed that with a hat trick plus a helper and a 1st Star nod in a 5-2 road win at Chilliwack.
